A Little Cooler...

As I write this post my phone tells me that it is 86 degrees outside today. Isn't it funny when 86 is COOLER?!? HAHAHA...Fall is our favorite time of year at the nursery. All the beautiful flowers are about to come in, we get GREAT decorations for the holidays, and THEN we get...........Christmas trees, and everyone knows what that means...The Reindeer Festival. We can't wait!

We've really done a lot down at the nursery over the summer. We have built a new fireplace and even a PIZZA OVEN! So, it looks like we are really going to have a fun fall.

Stay tuned for more information about specials and upcoming events.

cRazy Spring

Need a quick & inexpensive pick-me-up to make you forget about that blue tarp on top of the house? Come by and get some fresh herb plants and make a container garden that offers up fast rewards! You can plant this afternoon and go out tonight for a few sprigs to serve up with dinner. (Sorry I can post pictures, but Blogger and I are fighting today.)

We are also excited about some new gift items we are adding at the nursery! I'll write about those tomorrow...don't want to load you down with too much information at once!

Thanks for your continued support.

Getting Back to my Posts

Look!!! I'm blogging once a month now!! lol...I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger. My goodness I've gotten behind, but I promise I'm trying to get better. I sure hope you guys have driven by the nursery more times than I've posted recently. HA! From the looks of things, you have. The mulch has been FLYING out of here! Thank you to everyone who has stopped by for that. Seems like Rocky Hill is going to have some beautiful yards this spring. We got in some more herbs yesterday and also got a TRUCKLOAD of Japanese Maples!!!!! Stop by today to get first pick over those babies. We are ALSO working with our Kamodo Joe grill and smoker representative to get a demonstration day together. Now, that will be some fun! These grills/smokers are great. We took one home with us and love it.

Boing, Boing, Boing...Hoping into Spring...

I know you guys are feeling it, too. Mother Nature is dangling that carrot right in front of our faces. This time of year in East Tennessee makes one feel like a five year-old on Christmas Eve...'Is it time yet? Can we go outside and play? Can we plant? Are we going to get another freeze?' The anticipation is truly enough to drive a person crazy.

We are getting in items daily at the nursery. We have a few herbs, and we have brought up some flowering plants from the greenhouse where they have been growing. We also have plenty of mulch!!! We are close to unveiling the checkout area and pergola out front. Stop by and check everything out.

Why I Haven't Been Around...

This is what has been taking up so much of my time. I've not been at the nursery a lot this past year. Brycey was born a few days after the Reindeer Festival last year and that was all she wrote for me. The two of us hibernated for the rest of the winter. He loves being at the nursery, though. For a while I could contain him and then he started crawling...there was no hanging out down there at that point. He wanted to get outside and climb up on the Bobcat with Daddy. So, once again, we ended up waiting around at home every day. Now he is walking. As soon as it starts getting a little warmer, we will be down at the nursery a lot. Brycey is going to make sure that happens. If you've driven by the nursery lately, you know that there is a lot going on. We are building some structures outside to help organize the plants. We are also building a new checkout area. I think everyone is really going to like it! I know we are very happy with all of the changes. I'll try to post a few pictures in a day or two. We just got the roof finished today. Scott and the guys are really working hard on some beautiful hardscape projects. We'll get some of those posted, too (if the weather holds up). We are SOOOOOO looking forward to a great spring! Thanks to everyone who shops at the nursery.
