Are you ready for spring?

Look at this article that I found today. Now if that doesn't get you in the mood for spring, what will? A lot of these branches are found right here in East Tennessee. If you don't have any of these trees or bushes in your yard, I bet your neighbor does. Why not ask them if they mind if you take a few and then put some in two different vases? Take the second vase of branches to your neighbor when they start to bloom to thank them for letting you "steal" some greenery.

We've been spending a lot of this slow time working on ordering plants, flowers, trees and other goodies for the spring. Spring is going to be so much fun at the nursery!! We can't wait.

OK, I'm gonna try again

I don't know why Blogger isn't liking me, but I'm gonna try again to post some pictures of the work we've been doing out in the cold this week. Well, OK, who am I kidding. I sat in the truck with the engine and heater running and rolled down the window to take these pictures. At least I'm doing something, right?
Here you go...some pictures of our giant boxwood...
Here are the guys working on getting the bush into the big custom planter. Cool, huh?

Ah ha!! Now some serious work is getting done...

And here is our pretty boxwood in it's own planter. I'll get some better pictures of this when it warms up, but isn't that a great bush? This project is getting close to being finished. Then I will get some really good pictures. You guys aren't going to believe how beautiful this place is!!! I hope everyone comes out to see the Symphony House this spring. I'll make sure all of you guys have the information.

Stay warm!!!

I'm trying...

to get some pictures of our big job to post on here. It has finally (fingers crossed) stopped raining. So now I came go walk around in the mud and take some pictures!!!

BTW, I did get my other blog started. Go visit, comment, send me a message... whatever. Any suggestions are great. Let your friends know, too.

Hopefully, tomorrow I will have a good post with lots of pictures. If not, I'll make something up.

Till then...

Spring Showers?...I wish

Wow! What the heck? Is it ever going to stop raining around here? It has rained for.....well, I don't even know. We've been out of town, we come back and all it does is rain! It could be worse, it could be about 20 degrees colder.....

We had a wonderful time on our vacation to Germany. We all stayed with Scott's sister's family. Kayla and I had never been to Europe, so it was really an experience for us. The first few days of the trip were spent in New York City. I love that place!!! We went to see The Lion King. Wow! If you've seen it, you know what I mean, and if you haven't seen it...well, you really need to. It was wonderful. I don't know what was better, the show itself or the sets and costumes. What creative minds came up with that show.

I don't have time right now to post pictures, but you can see some here and here.

Not much nursery news right now. We have some jobs going, but this rain is really slowing things down. As soon as I can, I will get out and take some pictures. We will also start working on Spring stock soon. So I'll keep you guys informed on that.

Also, leave me a comment and let me know where you are reading from. I've noticed quite a few hits from countries other than the US. Let me know how you found us and if there is anything special I can talk about. For the rest of you, let me know where you are from, too. If you are local, I'm going to put some coupons or special deals on here soon....hope to hear from you all very soon.

I am also going to be starting a new blog in the next day or two. Many of our friends and clients are small business owners, as we are. I want to talk a little about that and the importance of shopping local. It's something I feel very strongly about. Being in Europe really made me start thinking about it more.

Until next time...
