Dreamin'..........

One of the best things about running a garden center is spring planning in January and February. These two months used to seem so L-O-N-G and dark. Many people get seasonal depression right now, and I can sure understand that....but now, well, at the garden center we get to spend the time after the holidays looking through beautiful catalogs for spring plants and flowers. Isn’t that great? We’ve also been looking into the herbs for spring (that’s my personal favorite!) The Herb House has been a big hit the past few years and we do not plan to disappoint this year, either. Is there anything better than stepping out on your patio and grabbing a handful of this or that to put in a recipe? Yummmmmmm. I can’t wait!

Of course, the weather around here has been quite crazy this year. The old wives’ tales tell us that a warm January could mean some nasty weather in February, and even March! So, watch out! Mother Nature could still be planning a winter formal...

I hope to be updating a lot over the next few weeks. We just put some new portfolio pictures on the Facebook page and are working on getting those on the website. Please share our Facebook page with your friends. We depend on our great customers to help us spread the word about our business. Rocky Hill has to be one of the best places in the world to be a small business owner. The support you show us is wonderful. So many friends have stopped in just to tell us they love the changes that we have made. If you haven’t stopped in, please do. We have some beautiful custom fireplaces, a pizza oven, and we have redone the outdoor kitchen!!

Well, that’s all for today. I hope you guys are busy planning your spring planting, too. It really makes these dreary days go by a little faster. See you soon!!

A Little Cooler...

As I write this post my phone tells me that it is 86 degrees outside today. Isn't it funny when 86 is COOLER?!? HAHAHA...Fall is our favorite time of year at the nursery. All the beautiful flowers are about to come in, we get GREAT decorations for the holidays, and THEN we get...........Christmas trees, and everyone knows what that means...The Reindeer Festival. We can't wait!

We've really done a lot down at the nursery over the summer. We have built a new fireplace and even a PIZZA OVEN! So, it looks like we are really going to have a fun fall.

Stay tuned for more information about specials and upcoming events.

Do you have an outdoor kitchen yet? It's the trend, you know? Many people have discovered that their money will work harder for them if they improve their current house. Whether they are looking to stay in the home and improve on what the have, or they would like to get an edge over homes for sale in their area...adding an outdoor room can be just what they need.

Stop by Creekside Nurseries & Hardscapes and check out our desgn studio. We have pavers, fireplaces, kitchens...and now, a PIZZA OVEN! Come visit us a 8718 S. Northshore Drive today.

cRazy Spring

Need a quick & inexpensive pick-me-up to make you forget about that blue tarp on top of the house? Come by and get some fresh herb plants and make a container garden that offers up fast rewards! You can plant this afternoon and go out tonight for a few sprigs to serve up with dinner. (Sorry I can post pictures, but Blogger and I are fighting today.)

We are also excited about some new gift items we are adding at the nursery! I'll write about those tomorrow...don't want to load you down with too much information at once!

Thanks for your continued support.

Getting Back to my Posts

Look!!! I'm blogging once a month now!! lol...I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger. My goodness I've gotten behind, but I promise I'm trying to get better. I sure hope you guys have driven by the nursery more times than I've posted recently. HA! From the looks of things, you have. The mulch has been FLYING out of here! Thank you to everyone who has stopped by for that. Seems like Rocky Hill is going to have some beautiful yards this spring. We got in some more herbs yesterday and also got a TRUCKLOAD of Japanese Maples!!!!! Stop by today to get first pick over those babies. We are ALSO working with our Kamodo Joe grill and smoker representative to get a demonstration day together. Now, that will be some fun! These grills/smokers are great. We took one home with us and love it.

Boing, Boing, Boing...Hoping into Spring...

I know you guys are feeling it, too. Mother Nature is dangling that carrot right in front of our faces. This time of year in East Tennessee makes one feel like a five year-old on Christmas Eve...'Is it time yet? Can we go outside and play? Can we plant? Are we going to get another freeze?' The anticipation is truly enough to drive a person crazy.

We are getting in items daily at the nursery. We have a few herbs, and we have brought up some flowering plants from the greenhouse where they have been growing. We also have plenty of mulch!!! We are close to unveiling the checkout area and pergola out front. Stop by and check everything out.
